Aug. 3 – Candidate meet-and-greet
The League of Women Voters is sponsoring a non-partisan meet the candidates event for Legislative Districts 2, 25 and 31, county auditor and prosecuting attorney Aug. 3 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Pierce College multi-purpose room (1601-39th Ave. S.E. in Puyallup). Participants will have a chance to speak to the candidates and hear them give their answer to the question “What will you do to help solve budget problems?” Free parking and refreshments will be provided. Aug. 4 – National Night Out
Enjoy an evening of games, raffle prizes, face painting and much more during America’s night out against crime. Free festivities will take place 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Fife High School.

Visit a Pierce County Library this August through September to learn everything you need to know about computers. Learn the basics about using a computer, downloading audiobooks and e-books, communicating via e-mail, navigating the Internet and creating a website. Get started using Excel, Word, Publisher and PowerPoint or find answers to questions during drop-in help.
