The man who reportedly caused a fatal car crash in Fife on July 27 has been arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder and for fleeing police, causing an accident at the Pacific Highway East intersection with Alexander Avenue that left one woman dead.
The man was reportedly eluding Puyallup Tribal Police in a stolen vehicle when he collided with the car driven by a woman who was turning left onto Pacific. She died in the accident. The cars collided with such force that the woman’s car then hit three other cars before finally stopping.
The 43-year-old Covington man then tried to run from the scene but was tracked by Puyallup Tribal police, who arrested him near the scene. He was treated for minor injuries before being booked into Pierce County Jail.
