Milton Police Department

Milton units were informed on April 25 that a light pole was down in the roadway on Military Road just east of Enchanted Pkwy. A Milton officer arrived and could see a vehicle straddling the light pole in the roadway. The officer saw a man outside the vehicle trying to dislodge the vehicle. The man was later found to be intoxicated and arrested for DUI.
An employee on April 25 called 911 because a juvenile female was causing a disturbance in the store. Before officers arrived, the juvenile spit in the face of the employee when she confronted her. The juvenile was arrested and booked into Remann Hall for assault.
Milton units were advised on April 26 that a recklessly driven vehicle entered the city on 28th Avenue from Enchanted Parkway. Several witnesses called in saying the vehicle was swerving and driving erratically. A Milton officer saw the vehicle blow through the stop sign coming from 11th Avenue going south onto Milton Way. The vehicle was going so fast that all four wheels left the ground, and it landed near the Café Elite on Milton Way. The driver had to take evasive action to keep from crashing in to Dave’s Tavern. When the officer caught up to the driver, the driver refused the officer’s commands to exit the vehicle. He was forcibly removed and detained. He was later arrested for drunken driving, resisting arrest and driving with a suspended license.  He was booked into the Puyallup Jail.
Milton units were called on April 28 to respond to fight between two male patrons at Anytime Fitness. After reviewing the surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses, officers were able to determine a primary aggressor. He was arrested, and charges forwarded to the prosecutor.
A Milton officer was walking into Safeway on April 30, and called out a license plate to dispatch. He was inside when the return came back confirming that it had just been stolen out of Renton. He ran back out to the parking lot to see two females jump into the car. He yelled “Police! Stop!” The car sped off and fled into Sumner Heights. The officer followed and found the car abandoned after it crashed. No one was inside. Other officers arrived and assisted in the search for the occupants. Officers located some of the occupants and interviewed them. They learned the identity of the driver, and also found narcotics in the stolen car.
A Milton officer observed a vehicle driving erratically on May 3 when it turned from Pacific Highway on to Porter Way. The officer followed the vehicle and observed driving behavior that indicated the driver might be intoxicated. Upon further investigation, the officer found the driver was drunk, and arrested him. The driver gave a breath sample of .140, nearly double the legal limit. He was arrested for drunken driving.
Witnesses saw a vehicle swerving on Pacific Highway as it headed south from Federal Way. They watched as the vehicle left the roadway and plowed through a berry patch only to reenter the roadway and continue south. A Milton officer stopped the car and arrested the driver for reckless driving on May 5.
Reports of a woman drinking and driving in the Safeway parking lot on May 8 prompted a Milton officer to respond. When he did, he quickly saw the suspect vehicle being driven by a woman with whom he was familiar from a previous similar incident. He investigated her for DUI. During the investigation she gave a breath sample with a blood alcohol level of .263, more than three times the legal limit. She was arrested and booked.
