Charlie’s brings together good friends, good food

Charlie’s Restaurant has been a downtown Puyallup icon since 1972. Longtime friends, and now business partners, Janice Carter and Teresa Suprak took over the operation in January 2009. Carter and Suprak have worked together on and off for 23 years. Together, they have more than 50 years in the restaurant business. When Suprak transitioned out of a Pacific Northwest restaurant chain, she approached Carter about partnering to purchase a restaurant. Delaney Ferrell does her school proud

Fife School District, and Fife High School in particular, received a great honor last weekend when Fife High sophomore Delaney Ferrell competed in the first-ever Miss High School America Pageant in Branson, Mo. In fact, the entire state of Washington was done proud, as Farrell is our state’s first Miss Washington High School, the precursor to moving on to the national pageant’s inaugural event. Fife welcomes Anderson Appliance

The former site of Couch’s Furniture in Fife has been transformed into a new Anderson Appliance store. The Fife Regional Chamber of Commerce welcomed the new business with a ceremonial ribbon cutting on March 5, followed by an open house in the store’s showroom. Various members from the community, including Fife City Councilmember Rob Cerqui, were in attendance at the ceremony to help owners Gary and Terry Anderson celebrate. Read more...
